Is it possible to use the 66 / Super 66 sleeves and pistons in a RC 60? Can the 60 block be bored to accept the 66 sleeves? Not an abundance of parts available for a 60.

Thanks,
John

The sleeves will not fit and then what are you going to use for a piston. Why not bore your 60 Sleeves and install new pistons to fit the sleeves. I sent you or somebody an e-mail on this. Questions?

You must have emailed someone else, wasn't me.

I would like to use the 3.75 overbore piston / sleeve kit. So naturally, I would use the pistons that come with the sleeves. Are the 60 sleeves thick enough to bore for the 3.75 pistons?

No: they are not thick enough. Also the length of stroke is different so your compression height will be different plus the pin size on the 66 is 3/8 inch larger. Questions?

I am not necessarily looking for a bolt together solution here. Good chance the motor will end up with new rods anyway. Therefore pin size / length can be addressed. Just curious if anyone had bored a 60 block to make the 66 sleeves fit. Makeing the pistons fit the rod is easy. Adding a little stroke to get the piston to the top might not be out of the question either.

Thanks,

not sure. i was going to try it, but decided i didn't want a 60. if you can get me the bore centers on the 60. i know the dementions on 66 sleeves. also what is the length of the 60 sleeve?

Be a little before I get a chance to tear it apart. If you will email me, I would love to chat with you later when it is apart. Love to have the dimensions of the 66 sleeve. If it close enough for some boring it would be a good way to go.

Thanks,
