Maybe you guys can shed some light on this. I've got a 53 7RC, origionally a diesel, converted to gas sometime in the past, along with 770 hydraulics. Block numbers show the engine to be from a S77. I've been pulling this thing in the 4500 thru 6000 stock classes in 1st and it consistantly powers out. No matter what i do to the carb adjustments it will not blow black smoke (too rich). Carb #'s show a non super 77. Other than this tractor starts and runs perfect.

I may be able to help, but what information or help are you looking for? More power? How much? I would start by checking the compression on the engine. How much work are you willing to do?

Really looking for more power and was wondering if maybe it was starving for fuel at high rpms due to having the wrong carb for the motor. I have'nt checked compression due to it not showing any signs of oil burning. As far as how far I'm willing to go with it lets just say that if the notion strikes to bale hay with it I want to.
