Just found out that Oliver produced outboard motors in 1959 and 1960. Does anyone have more details?

You can go to Google and do a search for "Oliver Outboard Motors" or Link Click on the History icon for the story of Oliver's venture in that arena. Jack Pedersen of Grand Island, NE is the principal on that web site. His father was a Oliver Dealer.

Our local marine musem has four of them.The early one looks just like the ones from the co they bought.Later ones have differant shades of green paint and oliver shields on them.

I see them at vintage shows. Believe this-
I waterskied behind an Oliver 6 HP when
they were new. Found some good and wide
waterskis(of course I was probably 140
lbs then. It pulled me up and I had to
stay straight behind-if I cut away I
could pull it down. Chuck
