When did they start putting enclosed brakes on the Cockshutt 30? I just purchased a 1948 30 with the enclosed brakes. I thought they came out later than 1948.
Any information will be appreicated.
Thanks,
Roger

Roger,

Two series of the open style "duo grip" brakes were used on the Cockshutt 30/ Co-op E3 tractors. Serial number 10000 thru 26200 uses a 1.75 inch wide brake lining. Serial number 26201 thru 36240 uses a two inch wide brake lining which is also longer. I have both of these brake lining kits on stock.

Please let me know when I can assist you further.

the first 30s that came out had the enclosed band brakes serial#10000 and below. then they went to the open type shoe brake and then the later 30s after serial#36241 used enclosed shoe style brakes. Mike
