The 3 pt lift on my 550 seems to work fine at the top half end. But when I get the control oast halfway down it will hold no weight. It just drops and the control goes with it.

Also, should it have downward pressure? In all possitions the arms move up freely, like on my old Fords.

First question: How much free travel do you have when the lift arms are all the way up? The second part of the first question I don't quite understand. The second question is the there is no down pressure. Not it is your turn for questions. As far as your loader question how about a picture as to me you have better than a 50/50 chance it is not an Oliver loader. Probably less than 10% of the Super 55 & 550 tractors around here had Oliver loaders. How about a picture of the tractor and loader from several differen views.
