Well, I now think mine is a model 7 and it has red wheels. Is it supposed to say "OLIVER SUPERIOR" on the side or just "OLIVER"? Oliver Fan suggested mine could be a 17 or a 7AW. What does the AW stand for? I found a brouchure for a 14, and it has flared sides and a different chain arrangement for the beaters. Is there an Oliver implement book out there? Like I said before, this one is 17x40x120", straight sides, 18" tires, and one heck of a handy jack once you free up the lever and replace the spring. Also, can you still get parts for these? I know my JD R spreader has many avalible parts still, how is Oliver?

The spreader would have had "OLIVER SUPERIOR" on st left and right side.

The 7 AW means the spreader had 2 wheels. There was also a 7 BW and that one had 4 wheels with either a short tractor hitch or a horse pole and seat. It also had different leavers so it could be operated from the seat.

The serial number was on a plate riveted to the front of the spreader.

As for parts, who knows. Maybee you could find an old Oliver dealer that has some, but I doubt it. These spreaders haven't been built for over 50 years. Maybee someone else will post more information.

Good luck
