Hi ya'll! Have a quick question for everyone. We have an Oliver 88RC Original Propane Tractor, which I'm pretty sure is a 1952. We are selling it at my Mom's farm sale in a couple weeks and was wondering if anybody could give us a general idea what its worth. I've been told that original propane Oliver tractors are fairly rare. My dad was restoring it at the time he passed away, and my brother finished painting it, so it does have a new paint job. We use to run it on an irrigation pump for a re-use pit, so it does run. Thanks for the help! :)

Here is a scan of a piece of literature on the liquified Petroleum (LP) Oliver tractors. It's dated June of 1952. There is a earlier piece that's dated July of 1951. If it is a 1952, it should have the vertical tank like the one shown here. Later tractors had horizontial tanks. In the late tractors we moved the exhaust pipe to the side for vision, how would you like to look around this tank all day? Oliver LP tractors certainly are not common especially in the eastern US. I don't know what the worth woudl be, Good luck on your sale over in Red Willow County.

The sale is going to be northwest of McCook, Nebraska at our family farm.
