i take it that you have a waukesha engine in it.
is it a diesel?.
If you want it to last, don't run it at full rpm.
I run mine no more than 2200 max.Has 6300 hrs on it .it blew the original motor at 4000 hrs, and i put one in from a 1955 with the same hrs.
These engines are notorious for making a hole in the side.

to throw caution into the wind, if this engine hasnt been properly overhauled, you may be looking into seeing a rod being thrown.

When they dyno"d it did they just take it down to rated RPM or did they pull it down to max power? It can make a lot of difference. Also the factory rating was "Certified" wich meant you"ld never get one with LESS, but could have more. Our 1555 was rated 53 but was 62 right off the truck from Charles City at rated RPM. I never witnessed any of our other ones right off the truck, but all were well over rated power after break-in and WITHOUT being turned up.

Factory said it was 98 and so did the Nebraska trials.

Interesting, my 1955 was rated from factory at 108hp, I was drilling some orchard grass with it on saturday and noticed somthing I'd never seen before. On the inside of the tool box it says "dynoed 131hp" and then a date, written in permanent marker. I don't know if that is correct or not, but it seems to have a lot of power. I have done some of the updates to the engine, and it has the factory oil cooler. I don't pull it very hard though, maybe a 15' brush hog over light pasture once a year and then on a 5'x5' Hesston 5500 baler, and on my 3-point disc mower.

Yeah the factory listed the 1955 at 108. Earlier post had an interesting statement that "certified" meant the power wouldn't be less then... Always wondered how "certified" was to be interpeted.
I don't know what my 1855 puts out. On occassion I work her pretty hard. Pull a 13 foot disc and a 15 foot rolling harrow--black smoke out the top and plue out the bottom; and it's slow. Now that I have a 2255 the really hard work goes there.
Decided that when she blows up or the engine needs rebuilt I'll do a ShepVa conversion--put in a Cummins.
