I have a tractor that I would like to start working on, you can see pics at>Link
they>Link are pretty large images but keeps the details

It is a diesel tractor and I know it is a 77 model (can see the imprint on the front) but can't figure out year, whether is is a super or not etc. I want to know the best manual to buy for possibly rebuilding the tractor. If more pics are needed, please let me know and I will take them

Info off the tractor
Specification number: 17-0014
Serial number: 22345702

so according to the chart at Link am I looking at a 1955? Not 100% sure I am reading that correctly.

I think you are right, the serial # seems to indicate a 1955 Super 77. At a minimum, a parts man. and a repair man. would be best. The parts man. would be helpfull in some disassembly or reassembly situations. The repair man. is a given. oleblu

Thanks for the info, I just towed it over to a friends house to start working on it, so I will see if I can get that number off the tractor in the next day or so.
Would the shop maunal be enough for working on the tractor or would I be needing the service manual?
