I am the one with the hydraulic overheating problem on the White 2-105! I read the reply you made. Will putting the return line direct to the reservoir and adjusting the restrictor valve regulate the problem or just help? Also do I adjust the restrictor valve for just the valve that I am using? There is one on each valve and I think one which is the main one. Thank you very much for your information. And thank you also to J. Schwiebert

letting the return line dump directly and unrestricted into the resevoir should solve the problem with heating. I use a hydraulic driven sprayer pump set up this way after spraying 25 acres with the hyd motor running constanly I stopped and took the oil temp with a candy thermometer. 165 degrees. no problem
i guess i should have said this before, but if you intend to use the other remote valve at the same time, say for raising and lowering an implement, yes you will have to restrict just the one valve.
I guess i adjust the main only because I'm not using any other hydraulics while spraying. When I asked a similar question last spring I think mr schwiebert told me that the oil temp could run 190-200 all day with no problem.
