What color are your wheels and what options do you have?I myself have one with factory duals and with a straw speader, also have the scour clean, own about 4 total two are just parts two are real clean.
But I do suggest you start looking now for a spare main drive belt they are tough to find.

This one has a windrow pickup as well as the finger reel. Also has scour clean and straw chopper. Could have other options I'm not sure what was standard. Has green wheels and was bought new in 1957 or 58 with a super 77 gas. Cost me $85. If I get it together in time I will try it on some beans. I'm working on buying a exceptionaly nice 40 self propelled from the neighbor as well. Unfortuantly it's not diesel.

Wow talk about cheap what a deal,I paid about that much just for a parts machine and then spent a fortune on belts to make it go intill I found a good one.The only belt I could find was one that fit a allis chalmers mower. The main belt is a "d" size and I went to everyone trying to find a new one. With the color of the wheels it must be a 57 model, and I dont have any with the windrow pickup but that really wasnt used much around here(Northern Illinois)unlike the "other"pulltype combines the 18 had a certain respect for dealling with weeds back in the day so the need to cut and let the weeds die wasnt really needed.

Try these guys. That's where we have all of our hoses made and they can get just about any size belt at a fraction of the Agco price. Good guys, easy to deal with to boot.

They don't make new main drive belts or they have to be ordered special??? I've had good luck finding parts for my other oliver combines. Photo of 7800 attached.

Again on the main drive belt for the 18 is the only belt for a oliver combine that I have had a hard time trying to locate.
I own a 7800 with a mighty 413 wedge do you have the perkins? nice combine overall, looking now for a 7600 and a 5555 had a line on a nice 7600 but waited to long(thought price was high for a gas wanted $1000)and someone bought it to use in a demo derby ohh was I sick but what can you do.
Nice thing about these combines you can still even get parts from agco-also have a couple 525 and 545 (but I dont think I can get parts for a 33)

I have a 5555 with a 561 corn head. I last used it in 2000. I plan to fix it up but never get around to it. I paid $1,000 for it in 1999. needs concaves, raspbars and a few belts. I plan to convert it mud hog 4wd. The axle is laying in the shed. The 7800 had a 383 gas and hydro. I paid $200 for it with the 8 row narrow corn head. At the same auction I bought a 8700 and a 20' kwick cut for 1,600. I enjoy these old combines. They real cheap here especially at auctions. Only draw back is they take up alot of space and really should be in a shed.
