I find an Oliver tractor for sale for $1200. I don't know what model it is though, since I've only been around Farmalls and AC. It is a 6 cylinder gas, buried under a mounted cornpicker. It has the same dash and shifting pattern as the "Sharp Oliver 77" listed on ebay. How can I figure out what model it is? I didn't see a serial number tag on it? It runs ok and the sheet metal isn't too bad. Is it supposed to have side curtains? It doesn't have anything covering the engine. Any info would be helpful. Thanks to all!

The serial plate is down under the dash on the left hand side or over on the righthand side down in front of the brake cover. If you can't find out form the serial plate look at any of the casting numbers if the numbers have a K it's a 88 if it has an M it's an 77.
Good luck.

Thanks! I haven't been back down to look at it yet. Did they come with hydraulics? If so, is under the fuel tank/dash? About what horsepower are either model? Is $1200 a good price?

Yes all the fleetline series came with the option of Hyd or mechanidal lift. If the one your looking at has a corn picker on it I beleive it has hyds. on it. The horse power is about 35 for a 77, 48 for a 88. Yes if it runs and drives 1200 is good price. Rember to look for the casting number on the motor to tell you the size of the tractor.
