Trying to identfy a tractor in a junk yard. Has a flat head 4 cyclinder engine with the distributor located, I think between the 2nd and 3rd cylinder straight down through the head. Is this a Oliver or what?

The engine is a Continental F model. The only Olivers that used that engine are the Super 44 and 440. How about a better description of the tractor. Many older M-H models also used that engine as well as te Cockshutt 20

Note this is a guess but I have never known of a flat head Oliver tractor. Now the crawlers had flat head engines, but can't think of any wheel tractors with them.
