I removed the glass bowl on my tractor to clean the accumulation of dirt etc. from the bottom of the bowl. Now I can't seem to get the strainer to stop leaking when I re-assemble it. Perhaps I need new gaskets. (There were 2 cork ones on it) Is there a trick to getting it back together? The gaskets are less than 1 year old. A tractor repair shop did this last in October of 2004. Can new gaskets be purchased, or do I have to make my own? How tight do you tighten the nut on the bottom of the glass bowl?

Thanks.

You can get gaskets for settling bulb. Sounds like who ever changed it last had a problem if there were two gaskets on it. I hand tighten mine on my 550 and then use a pliers to tighten it a little more if it leaks until it stops leaking.
