I went to the show on Friday and Saturday. I think the show was excellent. The turnout for the feature 44"s was awesome and I liked seeing that prototype Super 44. There were a lot more Olivers there than I thought there"d be. I figured the gas prices may affect how many people bring some stuff. The grounds was huge and had a lot of shade trees. The only thing I could have asked for on Fri. and Sat. was cooler weather. It was a scorcher out there those 2 days. But overall the best Oliver show I"ve been to so far.

I was wearing a dark blue almost black hat, NY yankees logo on ti w/ FD PD on either side. Had my cute little (5' 3/4")girlfriend at my side who's spunky and has a "gifted" upper torso. She was happy cause on friday she got a doll and Sunday she got 2 knives.

Saturday we went to a pig roast and had a grand 'ol time in Random Lake, near Plymouth.

Hey Donovan,
I could have sworn I saw your goil on Saturday, HMMMMM...didn't pay enough attention to notice you though :) Sorry I missed you. Did you catch the 1600 lp? Nice. I snapped a pic to post when they come back. Yes, I still do 35 mm. I only saw 1 1850 and it was 4 wheel. Not one like mine. I could have been in a class by myself no matter how "good" she looks. Maybe next year.

I was surprised by the number of 1600"s there, I think I counted 5 or 6, and about that many Hart-parr 70"s (grandpa used to have one on steel rears, rubber fronts, he sold it about 15 years ago for $750) I"d love to find a 70 like my grandpa had, or even his if possible. It went w/ a pair of rubber that could be put on the rear, and a set of cultivators(could"ve been from his Super C though)

Of course, non of the 1600"s were as good as mine..... ;-)

As far as my girl, she"s hard to not notice, despite her height.....
