I have an Oliver Super 88 RC with modified rear wheels and tires. I would like to return to the OEM wheel size and factory tire size. Can someone point me in the right direction?

1. Would these be pressed steel or cast iron? 2. Are cast iron wheels available for this tractor? 3. Should I even consider cast iron wheels due to weight?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the e-mail. Utah is a little too far from me. I am in Indiana.

What size/type wheels and tires are on it now? I might be interested in them depending on what they are and where you are located.

The super 88 tractors could be ordered with pressed steel or cast wheels.

The pressed wheels were cheaper and had 12x38 tires as standard and optional (13x38 tires).
The cast wheels were an option and was the most common. The rims were most commonly 12" wide but the very last Super 88"s could be ordered with 14" wide rims.

You should be able to get the cast wheels and 12" rims from a used parts junk yard, and yes they would be heavier than the pressed steel.

In about 1957 the tire sizes changes and that to me was when the 14.9 , 15.5 sizes were introduced. Cast wheels are the normal unless you want to pull the tractor and you need to loose some weight. However there are also different center castings which makes the weights different. When the 15.5 was introduced you could also have power shift wheels. The 14.9 and 15.5 X 38 are going to be the most COMMON sizes, meaning they wqere not the only size. 1957 and later Super's also have the red wheels. Questions?

The rears should be 38inch not sure how wide the rims are. Most of the ones I have and have seen have the cast on them. I have 4 olivers and only one has the pressed steel on
