Help my dad has a 990 oliver that he bought used years ago. Now he wants to know more about it. How can I find out how many were made and what the serial number stands for and so on. I would be greatful for any help and info I can get thanks. Mike

The 990 was made from '58-'61.I don't know about the production # because the 950,990,and 995 are classified together in all of my info. sources.There were not alot of options to be had w/the 990.They all came w/ 3-cyl,2-stroke Detroits,all were standard non-adj. wide fronts & none had 3-points.They were , however , one of the most powerful tractors of their time at 84 PTO hp! Give us the ser. # & I'm someone else can decipher it.We have two 990's on our farm & they are our most prized posessions.~brad
