I'm the one with the oil seal queation on the 1800. I posted the information you requested on the post about the oil seal ( Jegpost at 1930) - I hope that provides better information. After reading one of your previous posts I am wondering if the Gasket kit I have just doesnt have what I need ( nothing matches your description). Afterr looking through all the gasket the only thing I can find that looks like it would go there is the white felt gasket (about 3/8" thick) that is the same dia. as the OD of the pulley ( Part that has keyway) and a thin gasket material gasket that fits perfectly over the crank ( has gap for keyway in it).

While I have you cornered could you tell me wher to bet a gasket for the oil pump. I like to take tthe oil pump apart and pack with lithiun grease. I need to take it apart anyway to inspect.

In closing, I noticed you seem to be a real expert on Oliver - where did you acquire your knowledge. Just curious.

Again, I sincerely appreciate your help.

The felt seal you are talking about is a DUST seal and goes in a groove on the OUTSIDE of the front cover. The gasket goes between the timing gear and the front pulley. You will need to go to a dealer for the front seal also the gasket for the oil pump. Do measure the clearance. I have never had a problem with a pump priming. We always used a mix of motor oil and STP and it worked fine. A wear sleeve for the rear seal is a thin metal "ring" that goes over the crankshaft. It is designed to remove the ring that wears into many of the rear hubs on the crankshaft. The seal required for this had a different inside diameter than the standard rear seal. I am going to disreguard that other remark. I did work for a good dealer. Your tractor is known as a "C Series" It is a 1964 model. Questions?

Thanks for your help. I hope my remark about your knowledge was not misunderstood - It was complimenting your knowledge ( I noticed you know the answers to many peoples questions). I hope I can still ask you questions.

Thanks again!
