I just got an Oliver 2 row corn planter in pretty good shape. The price was right, but I don't know what plates to use for what, or what model it is so that i might find a manual. It was horse drawn originally and has fertilizer and seed hoppers. Everything seems to be there for it, but I think I might be missing some linkage for the row marker. Can anyone help me out with the model of this thing?????

We have a similar unit and I think it is a 44-t or something like that. I think that was a fairly popular model at that time. I would attach a picture but I can think of the URL path. I'll leave our webpage addy, go to the shed portion and look under implements and planters to find a picture. Ours doesn't have the fertilizer hoppers on it, but we do have some for it.

I'll try to get as many casting numbers as I can and what they are from. Thanks for kicking my butt in the right direction.

How about starting out with a casting number off the plates?

I found ya some casting numbers.

The plate marked "large" has the number S-368
The small plate is S-366

Some of the parts in the seed hoppers are marked S-26, S-24, S-19.

The furrow opener, (or whatever it's called), is S-355

I hope that this helps somehow!!! THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!
