Can anyone email pictures of the drive setup for the hydraulic pump, especially if it is a direct drive setup. I am in the process of designing a direct drive and work like be able to look at existing designs if possible.

O. K. The pump drive was not furnished by Oliver. it was furnished by the manufacture of the equipment. Later on that changes (OC-46). Now how about you telling us what you have pump wise. Also do you know what is meant by an SAE pump flange. Also is your pump drive shaft splined or keyed. Next thing was the pump pulley in front of the way the pump was mounted (pump toward the rear of the tractor) or was the pump toward the radiator and the drive pulley toward the rear. If you have the first set up you will have a problem. Most belt driven pumps are right hand rotaion pumps and for a drive shaft driven pump you need a left hand rotaion pump. What are you planing to do to compensate for drive misalignment and laterial movement of the drive? Questions?

You probably are aware (from my other posts) that I am having a problem turning this pump with a belt – but the first thing I want to try is a new belt as the one the machine has now is one of those bogis link belts, but it should at least raise the blade even though there is slippage – but when I try to raise the blade, the pump pretty much stops turn and the belt just slips – the cylinders do twitch and seem to want to move.

To answer your questions and I could use all the advice I can get.

Tell us what you have pump?

do you know what is meant by an SAE pump flange? No I do not

is your pump drive shaft splined or keyed? keyed

pump toward the radiator and the drive pulley toward the rear? Yes

What are you planing to do to compensate for drive misalignment and lateral movement of the drive?
I thinking of incorporating a love-joy rubber coupler

The most significant problem I see is the room between the radiator, which I may have to consider moving 4-6 inch forward.
