I finally got my new tractor, Oliver 1650 diesel. Nice tractor, didn"t have a chance to play with it as much as I wanted asI had some other stuff to do. I was parkinging it in the shed, watching the tires, to see if it"d fit. All of a sudden, SNAP!!! I look up to see the new muffler at an angle, and the exhaust didn"t sound right. Looked under the hood, sure enough, I snapped the upright part of the manifold clean. After I parked it outside, said a few choice words, I just had to start laughing. A new (used) exhaust manifold had been installed just before I bought the tractor. I now know It will not fit inside the shed, but what does an exhaust manifold run for these days. I"ll try to get some pics as soon as possible. Rich

I picked up the "collector" today, $50 and had to remove it from the manifold. Couple questions, Is there any place that would have the gasket, or what could I make a gasket out of? And what do I need to torqure the nuts down to, or do I just tighten them to whatever I am capable of? Thanks for the help, Rich

I am looking for information on a Oliver Patriot. I have been told that it was a MM A4T1600 painted red white and blue. Does anyone have any pictures.

I got the side tin off, and forutnely I didn"t do anything to the manifold. The upright collecter pipe, for lack of better words, between the manifold and muffler is what broke. Snapped right at the bolts, but the bolts are ok. Hopefully I can get another one from the salvage yard tomorrow, I can"t believe they"ll be open on the 4th. I also noticed, there doesn"t seem to be too much differance, pyhsical size wise, between the 1650 an the 1750 and 1850. Is this true or are my eyes playing with me.

I paid (I think) $120 for a 1600 gas exhaust manifold, new, from Ag Parts First(used to be Rick's Agriparts) I know it aint the same thing, but it's a start. I got the pair for about $200.

You need to determine if you have the diesel with the Lanova precombustion chamber or the direct injection engine as the two manifolds are greatly different.
