Hi, Oliver Folks! I just got home a little while ago from a very good tractor pull at the Montgomery County Fair in Butler, Illinois. I saw an unbelievable sight today: not one or two, but SIX 2255 Oliver tractors pulling in one class! The class was made even more impressive because it was rounded out by four more big V8 tractors: two very nice Massey 1155's and two very nice International 1468's. There was also three very nice Deere tractors in this class: a 5010 Industrial, a 5020, and a 6030. All 13 of these tractors looked good, and they all did an awesome job down the track. It was HOT and oh so humid...but what an afternoon to be an Oliver fan! Stay cool, and have a safe week!

didn't happen to be a pretty young lady driving one of those 1486's was there? if so she came down to our pull here in Dresden and we really enjoyed watching that one pull. How did the Olivers do? Win? get close?

The only young lady driving was the one run that the Montgomery County Fair Queen made on a stock 4010. She "pulled through", courtesy of the sled operator! The 2255's did well. It was a good contest, because all 13 tractors were within feet of each other. It would have been cool to see a White 2-150, or an Oliver 2050. The Hercules and Moline engines can really lug, too!

Wish I could have seen that. How did the 2255's do? We are having a pull on July 16 at Selinsgrove, Pa. We are the odd ball in the crowd pulling our 2255 Oiver, 2-150 and 2-180 White all about 200-230hp. Hoping to have another 2255 to add to lineup in the fall around 300hp. The classes are pretty well rounded with JD's, IH'S, Case, MF, and even an AC ocassionally. The class is called "Off the Farm" meanig strictly farm tractors. weight for the classes are 11, 13, 15, 17 and 19,000 3.5MPH pace. Takes a while to pull all of these classes with around 25-30 tractors to a class normally. Our 3 tractors start off in 15,000 and pull till 19,000 but will have to put them on a diet first to make 15K. If anyone is interested look at our website.

Glad your pull had some Olivers. I made it to Tomah yesterday and there were no Olivers to been seen. There was a 125 White that was sicker then a dog and quite a few MM's. Also, a guy ran a 2-70. I guess it didnt take many people to guess that the 283 couldnt compete with the IH and Deere pushing over 400 cubes factory. Oh well, I still wore my White Farm Equipment hat with pride and enjoyed seeing the IH's winning:) Well, off to my job at John Deere in the morning:)
