I am new to tractors and recently purchased a 1946 Oliver 70. I had a couple of people mention that they thought some 70's came with some type of dual exaust setup. I have not heard of this or seen it in any pictures. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, Wayne

dual exhaust was never an option to my knowledge. There is supposed to be special elbows on the front and rear of the manifold that mount a muffler horizontally under the hood. many 70's were converted to dual exhaust when the muffler rotted off because it is easy to do and people think it looks cool.

There was one on ebay not too long ago that had a dual exhaust set up. I have two Oliver 33 combines with a Continental 6 and it's exhaust manifold has an extra plate at the rear for an pipe.

You said you have a 33 Oliver combine.

Any chance you could post a few pictures. My dad had a 1952 that he sold in 1963 when he got the 25. I was 5 and have wanted to see a 33 again. I know were a 40 is but there were some differences.

Just thought I would ask.

I have a parts book from '62 and it doesn't show such an option.

My '42 was crudely converted to dual exhaust by my grandfather in an attempt to stop the common problem of burning the rear Exhaust valve.
