Oliver 60 Industrial, good deal?

OK, so I got myself straightened out to where I know now that I have a 1948 Oliver 60 Industrial, not a standard like I thought. I paid $1,700 for the tractor, more because I just plain wanted it more than based on what I thought it might be worth.

My questions are: What is the tractor worth? It looks good, although the paint is wrong for an industrial and too dark for proper Oliver green. It runs great, starts right up, doesn't smoke, no noises from the rear axle, etc.

What is the difference between an Industrial and a standard? Is it my imagination or does the Industrial travel a little faster in high gear than my row crop 60?

How can I convince my wife I need both the Industrial and the row crop?

I'm trying to put a photo on here but can't figure out how. I'll see if I can post it on "stuck and troubled."

the only difference between the industrial and standard is the loader brackets mounted on the side of the frame.

There is little if any difference between the S & the I. You paid what I would say is about the going rate for a decent 60. Buyers are a little scarce these days , so you may have it for a while even if you try to sell it.
