Can't figure out where the oil goes on this tractor. Dipstick says it's in the DANGER level and it's not running with confidence. Can anyone help me??

Sorry for posting it at the wrong place... been looking through history to see if anyone else had asked a similar question. Suppose I need to know where the rad is too.

"Rad" is shorthand for "radiator"- the honeycomb like apparatus at the front of the engine that cools the water circulating through the engine. Might be time to find someone mechanically inclined to look at the situation- don't run the tractor anymore until you get some more oil into it. As to where the oil is going, all the N tractors are getting along in years, and engines start consuming oil (burning it along with the gas, leaking, vaporizing it out the breather tube, etc.) as they get worn out. Doesn't mean they won't still run another 50 years, but you just have to keep an eye on the oil level and replenish from time to time.

Well first off a 9N is a ford and this is the Oliver forum, but with that said. You should find a tupe/cap on the left hand side of the engine just behind the rad, Thats where you add oil.
