We have a 2150 fwd. I am very impressed with the power of it. We used it on our 1250 Gehl chopper, chopping windrows from a 15 ft mower during first cutting. It was very comparable Hp wise to our 2255. Nothing we have is stock hp, so it takes a lot to impress us. The 2255 is around 230hp and the 2150 is around 200. I wish it had the 55 series hydraulics and brakes. The 2-155fwd we have with the hercules engine is a good machine too. Just needs a few more ponies. When I get time I will get into the pump. I'd take another 2150 just to pull with.

Yes and no: There was 1 2150 Cockshutt. I still have the Cockshutt emblem off the grill. He was an Oliver man and he had it repainted. I am in northwest Ohio so this is Oliver territory. We had very good experiences with the 2050 Olivers. All were 2 wheel drive. Pull a 6 bottom plow no problem. I don't think any are left in this area.

Thanks for the information. What are the engines like? What about spares? Can an engine be used from something else?
Thanks

These engines are a 478ci. Hercules. They were used alot in the, 2.5 ton military trucks as a multifuel engine. You could buy one of these engines and probably put your fuel pump and accesories on it. I have an Oliver 2150 which is the same basic tractor with the addition of a turbo. My tractor starts good and runs excellent. IT has gobs of low end torque. It dynoed 205 h.p. and turns 3000 r.p.m. when the throttle is grabbed. I use this tractor all the time on my hobby farm. Hope this helps.
