Has anyone ever seen a White 80 that is painted green and has the word AMRICAN added under the WHIT? Was over at a neighbors farm last week and had has a WHITE 80 that is painted like an Oliver. He claims it is a special paint job because it one of the last ones built.

I saw all of that series tractors in a locked room a short time before they were introduced. My dealer took a group of farmers to Coldwater to tour the plant. We also saw a planter that was not on the market. I believe it was more of an experimental for some improvements. Was a very interesting trip. Delbert

The White American 60 and 80 color split ended up to be about 48% silver, 48% green, 2% red, and 2% yellow. I always liked the red ones and thought there would have been more of them.

The White American 60 and 80 were available in Yellow, Red, Green and Gray/Silver. The Gary/Silver was the standard White color scheme and the other colors were available as a tribute to the other tractor brands in White's history; Minneapolis Moline, Oliver and Cockshutt respectively. I have seen all of the colors at one time or another, but the standard White color scheme is the most common by far.

Yes, I have seen one exactly how you describe it. There is one at Everson Farm Equipment in the State of Washington. I believe that they are an AGCO dealer, and the tractor was originally sold there. They have restored it, and it is beautiful. I believe there is an article coming out on it in the near future
