Hello, I have a line on a 1967 Oliver 1450 4X4 tractor. I don’t know much about 1450 other then it seems to be a relatively rare tractor.

This particular tractor runs and is currently working mowing fields. The front drive is not working due to a broken CV joint.

If anyone can help with information about a 1450, would I be able to find parts to repair the front drive especially a CV joint…I understand the motor is a fiat 4 cly diesel what should I expect to pay for such a machine ? any info would help me

I thought the 50's were David Browns.

Parts are available for the 55 and 65 versions from Agco (a version or two of these were also sold as Allis'). Don't know about the 50's, there were a lot of changes between '50 and '55 series.. Bring a BIG wallet - they wanted $90 for the key switch. I put in a $10 switch and a $15 light switch/relay and got a better system.

If the CV is out a good driveshaft shop will probably be able to replace it with a different unit cheaper than the Agco part. I found the local drive shaft guys were 75% cheaper than the dealers.

Does anybody know who made the front wheel assist system for them? I got some feedback on this before and I do not know where you live, I thought they were a tough reliable tractor. Only problem at first and they changed that was having enough cold cranking amps. Bit this is 30 years later.

The 12XX, 13XX, and 1450 series Olivers were actually Fiat tractors imported and re-badged as Olivers. Opinions vary on them. This was done starting in the mid-60s through the early 70s. I believe the 1250 equates to a Fiat 415, but I don't know what the 1450's corresponding number is. If you can find that, it would likely increase your chances of getting parts. You might also do a search in the archives and do some reading there. Good luck.

The advice of iceseeper is good. Click on first
picture on left parts for Fiat Tractors then down to Fiat Tractor Buy's Guide.
