I got an entire live pto assy for my 30 Cockshutt and installed it last night. Only problems seem to be a leaking PTO shaft seal, which I need to locate ( Whats your number Phil?), and when I try to engage it the lever doesn"t "lock" in place. In other words as soon as I let go of the lever it no longer applies power to the PTO shaft. I know the part sits on the PTO lever inside the casing and moves the "clutch bearing" slips. I assume there"s an adjustment to be made, but having never had a LPTO unit on the tractor I"m not sure how it should work. I would think the lever should over center or otherwise lock in place. A little help please?

Didn"t you have a pto or did you have the non-live type? If you had the non-live type I would be interested in it if it was for sale. [email protected]

Hi Bret4207,

I have the PTO output shaft seals in stock. Several different ones were used. Please provide the numbers that are cast on the seal cap, when ordering.

YES, the engage handle should over center and snap in the LPTO. I can include some instructions when sending the seal.
