A neighbor has this machine and needs to put new rod bearings in it. It has a 3 cylinder gas engine. The I.D. tags have been painted over and one is somewhat damaged. The engine tag says: GD-130, serial# 8750436. The tag on the chasis says: MODEL OC-46-3G and I think the serial# is 1WF-716. Can anyone tell me the year of this machine and the make of the engine? Thanks.

Did a search and found this info from Albert C. Duroe. "You have a DD198 Hercules engine, parts are availuable from Landis Zimmerman @ 717 738 2573"

Zimmerman Oliver-Clectrac has a webpage.

What does the GD-130 on the engine tag mean?

The GD 130 is the model no. of the 3 cylinder gasoline engine used in the OC4 and Oc 46 crawlers. The 198 cubic in. engine is the 4 cylinder engine used in the OC9/96 series. [Later 9 series tractors built in Charles City used 212 cu.in. engine] the engines were built by Hercules, I would start at a NAPA store or good engine rebuilder with the model#, S/N and the Hercules name and see if the can find parts.

Thanks for clarifying that. I thought it was a 130 engine.

Check the size of the crank. I have both the F-M and Clevite bearing numbers if you need them. You should have the engine with the 2 inch crank pin.
