My first restoration candidate was a 1936 Oliver Hart Parr 70 which I bought in 1995. Once I'd gone through it, I discovered the engine was a loss. So I bought a parts tractor and a rebuilt engine. I've gone through 21 others since then (and sold 8 of those that I tired of) but didn't have the 70 driveable until last weekend. The trip this week was to solve unexpected problems (clutch wouldn't disengage, throttle would jump to idle unexpectedly , et al). I solved them and took it for a ride of about 300 feet and could hear the air escaping from the left rear tire. It's been this way for 10 years - fix one thing and another job surfaces. I would get discouraged and go onto something else. I think I am at the end of a long journey. Sure was fun to take it for a short spin!
