Buying Oliver 550

I have put a deposit on an Oliver 550 I saw back in April. I'm going back to get it in a couple of weeks. A McCormick Dealer (I think) is selling it. He bought it back from a customer of his and says he has done all the work on that tractor since it was almost new. Now the question: When was it "new" -- he doesn't know the year of it.

I got the following numbers from a plate on the side at the clutch:

415 21003
S/N 214 613 019

The tractor starts and runs fine, has hydraulic hookups at the rear (quick disconnect?), and has power steering. There is a fiberglass front grill on it. Other than needing a bath and eventually some rear tires, its practially perfect (in my limited opinion). It started and ran fine, PTO operates and everything.

Does anyone know what year this tractor is, or can they point me in the direction of where to find out such info?

Thanx,
Matt

Go to the Oliver section of this website, and on the left hand side scroll down until you see serial numbers under information. Click on that and find your model. This should tell you the year.
Good luck and enjoy your new toy.

Ah. If I read it right it looks to be a 1969.

Thanks for the info!
