Greetings friends,

I'm restoring an Oliver 88 RC that I used to work with in my younger days. It used to have a plate that bolted to the rear axle housing that made a small platform for a passenger to ride on. It's now 34 years later and the plate's no longer on the tractor. Was this an Oliver accessory and, if so, how would a fellow go about finding one?

Thanks!

I never ceased to be amazed at the great bunch of folks on this board! I received a thoughtful email from Jim Thurnau who put me in touch with Ron Grawey who's making some really great reproductions. I received them from Jim today and they're a lot nicer than the one that used to be on the tractor! I'm happy!

Thanks guys!

Bill, Every once and a while, you can find one on eBay. Seems like someone was also making reproduction steps as well but can't remember the source. Good luck!

Are you talking about the steps that were available? There was the plain step and also a toolbox version. They were made by a company other than Oliver. 34 years ago I could have told you who made the step because many of them still have the manufactures name attached.
