When the 88 was introduced the PTO handles were on the left side. The box spring seat was also standard. When the other style seat was installed the handle moved to the otherside. Also your handle is or should be a casting and not a welded steel assembly. Questions?

Simple answer. The diesel was introduced in 1950. Yea I know there is a book in the local library about a 1948 diesel. Trouble is the tractor is a very late 51 model or very early 52. More interestin would be how many kerosene burners were made. Questions?

Also, my old Oliver has the standard type seat that uses the rubber seat springs.

Warren,

You'll need to get the correct information from someone more knowledgeable than myself, but I have an early 88 and the PTO lever is on the left side on mine also.
