Anybody have the number for the seals?? Went to a parts store and they are haveing problems comeing up with any. Also what would make to pop out of the pump, when I opened it up there where 2 seals laying in the top of the tranny. They came out of one end of the pump, sort of hate to put it all back togeather if there a problem since the seals where just laying there. It might be easy to find the seals if there where some numbers on them but there aren't any.
Thanks for your help. Also if I can't find them local where can I find them.
Thanks

Seals should be available thru any bearing/seal supplier. I live in lindsay ontario canada and get mine thru canadian bearings in peterborough. There about $4 each. The one I have in front of me is a PIA NR8672. (if you need to cross to cr or something I could mic up tomorrow and give you the dimns. so you can get your supplier to look up that way?) I have had the notion that if you get water in your hyd. oil and weather gets cold the expansion from the ice forming pops the seals out?? Maybe this is better than splitting the pump housing.

SPECS. AND P/N FOR SEALS ARE AS FOLLOWS, 1K-2053 OLIVER SEAL CROSSES TO A NATIONAL P/N 40395 WHICH IS A LEATHER LIP OEM REPLACEMENT. THE NITRILE RUBBER SEAL LIP P/N IS 472354. THE SPECS., SHAFT,1.375", HOUSING BORE 1.874", SEAL OD 1.878",AND SEAL WIDTH .250". I USE AND RECOMEND NATIONAL SEALS BECAUSE THE LIP DESIGN AND BACKING SPRING TENSION IS BETTER FOR OLDER MACHINES WITH SOME SLIGHT WEAR. CR MAKES A GOOD SEAL BUT THEIR LIP DESIGN IS A LITTLE LESS FORGIVING DUE TO A LIGHTER BACKING SPRING,(DEPENDING ON DESIGN). I HOPE THIS HELPS, FEEL FREE TO EMAIL IF MORE INFO IS NEEDED. THANKS EBEN.
