I know the fleetline series hydraulic system was designed with trapped oil lines as a safety mearsure to prevent implements from axcidently failing, thereby preventing failure and axcidents. My problem on my 880 that I use to pull a 4430 plow is-- How in blazes does one hook up the lines? I can find no way to releive the pressure on the tractor side of the lines. I have the so called pioneer couplers that are supposed to be coupled under pressure to no avail. HELP..

Back when the 880 models were new 90+% of the tractors had the older Aeroquip breakaways. I do not recall any trouble coupling with them. Do you keep your plow and I would guess you mean a 4340 not a 4430 in the transport position to aid in hooking it up?

You're right it is a 4340 plow. Yes it does help some, if the plow is locked in the up position, but still not easy. The problem seems to be that the oil line on the tractor side is trapped so it is practicly impossible to releive the pressure on the ball check to reconnect. This is on the two way cylinder side of the hyd. system. I can't make the oneway side work at all. Somthing to do with the elbow coming out of the hyd pump.

Have you tried it with the tractor shut off?
