I normally post in the 8N forum but I have a question for you Oliver guys. I was cruising around Juneau Co., WI. and some farmer had three Olivers for sale. He had a 77, Super 77 and a diesel 550 for sale. The most useful, the 550 was fully restored by appearances but I doubt that I would splurge for that as my 8N does all I need to do on my 10 acre farmette. The Super 77 caught my eye however, as I have always admired old Oliver tractors. It is nearly useless to me as it doesnt have the three-point hitch, but I was thinking about giving my wife a coniption fit by bringing home another toy and I thought it could be fun to get into pulling some day at local fairs; and it would sure look sweet parked in my shed. I havent talked to the guy yet, but it looks pretty decent and has the wide front (nearly essential in this hilly area). What is the price range that would be reasonable for this model tracor??? Sorry that I dont have more details.

Thanks.
Paul

Jak price is right in the ball park. If you buy it you will love it as it will do more then 3 times as much as and 8N and it will not be slowed down by what will stop an 8N. I have Olivers fords JDs MH and allis but when I really need some thing with pull I'll jump on one of my Olivers

Probably in the range of 1300 to 2500 depending on many things like tires, paint, engine condition, and clutch.A Super 77 is one fine machine and looks great restored. If you did buy it you could get a drag type bush hog and maybe a good two bottom plow to justify buying it,hint hint.I have absolutly fell head over heels for that Waukeshaw 6 cylinder engine in these Ollies.I was a 2 cylinder nut and still am but give me an Oliver anyday.Wish you luck,Jack(TN).
