I got an 1953 O-C3 with a severe case of rustitis (came from a costal town). I got it running and getting the parts here and there limbered up. I've tried unsucessfully to weld up the air cleaner. Thing has hundreds of pin holes (like a screen door thin) I called Landis Zimmerman but he didn't have one. Dose anyone have a spare or know where I might be able to locate one?
Another ? were these 6 or 12 volt? I've tried every trick in the book short of rebuliding the starter, but it just won't turn over on 6 or 8. Starts great on 12 though. Oh by the IBX-3 has .060 overbore if that has anything to do with the price of rice.
One last thing I can't seem to figure out how to adjust the tow-in tracking on the front idlers.
Thanks in advance,
Charles Stangeland

What is the value of a 1945 OC3 ? Would it be worth restoring? Where do you buy a owners manual ? Thanks Mack

Hundreds of pin-holes in the bottom of the aircleaner --- I had the same problem. My solution was to clean the bottom good (that revealed even more pin-holes!)then cover the inside bottom of the air-cleaner with about 1/4 inch of JB Weld.

i seen an aircleaner on an avery that was identical to the oc3 crawler, those are propaly just as hard to find but is something else to look for. My oc3 is was 6 volt and converted to 12 volt. You should call Zimmerman an order a owners manuel for it they tell you about any thing you need to know about the crawler, hope this helps.
