My carburator has been leaking a little bit so I took it apart and the gasket/seal that divides the two halfs of the carburator has a hole about the size of a dime in it. do you think this is hurting me much? I couldnt find that seal anywhere. is it a bad idea to try gouping it up with blue silicone where it will be in contact with gas?

I just got one for my 1800 and an Allis Chalmers C at my local AGCO dealer. Thats where I'd start. I think the "blue goo" would be a bad idea. E-mail me if you don't find one locally and I'll see if they have that.

Silcone and gas not a good mix it will gum up the carb in a heart beat. I'd go get a kit for it and be done with it. For $20-30 its worth it
