I know the 2-105 will handle an 8 row no-till planter. Will it pull a 12 row no-till in 4th gear? Let's assume coulters, trash wheels, and liquid fertilizer. Models of planter could be a 5100 White, 7000 Deere, or 800 IH.

It turned 119 hp last time on dyno. Has had a new injection pump since then. Has fluid in the tires and duals.

I bought a new 12 row 1760 JD last year and my 2-105 will pull it with ease. I started without duals, but added them just for a little less compaction of ground. Ran in 4th under and direct about 4-7 mph for both corn and beans. Really nice outfit for planting. HOpe this helps. will be planting here in N.E. Iowa in a week. Good luck!

For what it's worth the guys I know pulled a black machine (12-30 no-till White units) with a 1950T with no real problems. If I remember correctly is seems like 4 over if the conditions were good. The problem on that tractor was that the hydraulics were a little slow on the planter.

It will be close. We pull a 7000 JD 12 row with a 1066 IH, about 4.5 or 5 mph. It is snorting and we don"t use liquid, coulters, or trash wheels. Neighbor"s auction last week - 2-135 600 hrs on engine sold for $8100. You might need to pull it in 3rd or upsize to a 2-135, better yet buy red! Just kidding, if you have over under you can probally pull it in under. matt.

Hopefully it will pull a 12 row conventional. Just picked up a used JD 7000 for a good price. Not planning on using fertilizer/insect boxes etc.
