Need help to identify for sure without tear down if engine is a 262 gleaner or what? Left side of block has an S in a circle, numbers 451496 with a 5 under the others, and the letters NW all raised in the block casting. Also has K21J in a box like area that isn't raised as the other. It has an auto lite starter and distributor. Also anybody know what kind of carburetor would be on it ?

Can you remove the sump pan easily, to determine size?

Sounds like a 262 to me, does it have a spin-on oil filter? If so, it probably is, if it has a canister type oil filter it is probably a 230.
