I have a chance to purchase an 88 Oliver that has the clutch out. Anyone know how much it would cost to replace the clutch. Do you have to pull the motor to do the replacement? The guy wants $400 for it. It doesn't have fenders, and has a narrow front end. Tires are good as well as the rims.
Side panels for the engine are both there and in good shape.

The thing that puzzles me is the guy said that it had lights on it. Didn't the lights fasten to the fenders, which it doesn't have?

What do you guys think?

You can replace the clutch without removing the engine if the tractor doesnot have a belt pulley attachment.

Well if you don't want it let me know where it is I'd jump on it in a heart beat. That said if you can get it for that and it runs its probably worth it. I would love to add it to what I have, I have a Supper 88 and 3 77s sure would like an 88.

If the tractor is decent and runs good thats a reasonable price. A complete clutch assembly would be around 200 dollars.Removing the engine would be the best way to replace the clutch.Don't forget to remove the pto out the rear of the tractor before you remove the engine.
