I am looking at buying a larger Oliver tractor, than the Super 55 that I currently own. I am leaning towards a diesel, vice gas, and have narrowed my choice down to a 1755 and an 1855. I would like to put a cab on the tractor that I eventually buy and have been looking but cannot find any cabs being sold independently. The cabs that are on tractors I've looked at, are all on gas models. Since the body styles are so similar on the 1600, 1700,1800, and 1900 series tractors, are cabs interchangeable? Does anyone know of any cabs for sale that will fit the 1700 or 1800 series Oliver tractors?

I have a picture somewhere of a 1900 w/ a cab off a 55 series. It worked, but had to be cut a little bit so the hydraulic levers would fit through. I'm sure you could get one from a 1800 or 1750 on up to fit, but if you could get one from a 2-85 or 2-105 white they would fit right on, no modifications. The 1550&55, and the 1600-55 are narrower and have smaller axel housings, so one off one of those wouldn't work. I think the 1800 may have smaller axels as well. Look for one off a 1750 on up to be sure, but be sure to have measurements before buying something that doesn't fit.
