I have a late 30's or early 40's Plowmaster 100 2 bottom 14 inch trip plow. It has spoke wheels with rubber tires. The trail wheel is steel.

I would like to repaint it with the proper paint. Presently, it is the darker green (color used on the older RC 70's), but the coulters look like they might have been red at one time. Somewhere I thought I had heard that they were originally red with green wheels? I appreciate any help I can get on this. Thanks

I was told the older plows were red with green bottoms. I have painted my like that and received no complaints (I've also seen others like it). Dumont has all of the decals if you want it to look really nice. I think their # is on Klines Oliver board. Also I was told if you are going to use it to use the correct clevis (flat that bolts to drawbar), if you use the twisted type, you can break the hitch if you back up. That could ruin a guys day.

The Oliver plow master was painted red for most of the years they were made. The very last year or two, the painted them green. Just before they started painting the plows green the were painting the wheels green.

If your's has spoke wheels or even cut off's, I would paint them red, same as the plow.
