This is about Oliver "Build Cards", so if you don't believe in them read no further. If you checked this inquiry out, then maybe you know something about these towns. This is a long shot but I'm trying to find out what or who could have sold Olivers in these two towns back in 1964. The build cards belong to a pair of 770's. Some people could care less about this, but it intrigues me to know more about where the tractors originally came from. I did a little "yellow page" research, and found places outside of these towns, but nothing IN these towns. There would have to have been a dealer of some type, in these towns otherwise they would not be on the build cards. Thanks for your interest-Bob from Illinois

My 1955 has the original dealer's sticker still on it. And it is a dealer that has two store's one in Erie, and the other in Albany, Ill. I can't remember the name but I will look at it tonight and report back tomorrow.

The implement dealer in Allison, Iowa was Jacobs Implement. It was owned by a gentleman named Bill Jacobs, his son Mark took over the business shortly before it closed as a dealership. The site is now a large boneyard with many Oliver, Massey, Gleaner, and many other makes just laying around and rusting.

I don't think there is much sitting at the old dealership in Allison, maybe a few corn heads, but not much else. I have a bunch of cousins up in that part, one of my late uncles had 3 Olivers and 1 Minni. Working on getting one. HTH Rich

There was an auction at Jacob's imp. in Allison about four years ago. They liquidated what was left of their Oliver parts inventory. Mostly used stuff, nothing real exciting with the exception of the old dealer signs.
