Hi Guys: I'm from the IH board and have been looking for a mounted sickle mower for my H. I've been looking for an IH for some time and there are none around. There is an Oliver model no.82 on a local lot here. I like Olivers, and if this unit has had a good reputation and no parts availability problems, I'd go for it. I'd like to hear about your experiences and opinions first. As always...Thanks in advance...Randy

I use one with my oliver 77 and have had it on my farmall M. To put it on the M i had to make up a few plates to mount it to the drawbar, but it works good. They are common around here so used parts are available, but guards, knife sections, and the wooden pitman can be had at TSC or other brands would fit. Like any sickle bar they need to be adjusted right to work well, but i like mine and think one will work well with your H. Josh

Thanks for the reply Josh...I Think I'll latch onto that one. It looks to be in real good condition, just a little rusty from non-use. Looks a hell of alot easier to dismount the thing compared to what I originally wanted.
