I have a Oliver 88 gas that had coolant leak what appeared to be from the head gasket. Took it apart can't find any cracks and the gasket looked good. Hope new gasket will do the trick (I never had the chance to check this with engine running) Does anyone know the head torques and do you recommend any sealant/glue with the new gasket.

Do as John recommends and then look for a product called Copper-Cote. Apply a thin film (I prefer the spray can for head gaskets) to both sides of the gasket and to the head and deck, taking care not to get any on the valves or pistons. This will help with any minor imperfections you may have in these areas.

Where is the coolant leak, right side, left side, is the head flat? How is the liner protrusion? Are any of the coolant holes eroded at the top?
