Some parts suppliers list the same head gasket set for a 77 gas and diesel. Others show two different sets. Could someone please tell me if they are the same.

P.S. I very much doubt that you will be able to match a head gasket# with anything made now.(even if you can read it)Your best bet is to measure your bore and compare it to original.

Oliver had a seperate head gasket for each. Another thing, It is going to make a difference if your 77 has the standard bore or some oversize bore. Get the wrong one and you can either crack a sleeve or damage the gasket. Why not take the number off the old gasket and match it up? Questions
