I just looked at a 1947 Oliver-Cletrac DD with what's left of a Heil dozer blade. I really have no way of trying it to see if the engine is stuck, but I would guess it is. It needs one idler and the bracket for that idler. It also needs the battery boxes, all the roller and idler bearings, the blade and arms for the dozer. What would you offer to save it from the scrap man???

A very wise man once told me "there's nothing quite as dead as a dead Cat". They're a heartbreak to restore, because everything is heavy and stuck, and parts for old Cletracs are very hard to find. Get the local scrap man to look at it, and offer $50 more than he would pay. Then keep it around and ponder it for a respectable period of time, then call the scrap guy and have him come and get it.
