There was a HEAVY set guy down at Princeton,In. pulling a Cockshutt 40 or 50,and he did really well, especially in the HEAVIER classes. He is not a real handsome looking man,but he had a real pleasant personality. From his accent,I believe that he may be from Mi.To be zone specific,I would say that he may be from the south-east-central part of the state. Can anybody put a name on this not-so-pleasant looking creature? He doesn't appear to be highly educated, but he sure can make those 'Shutts pull! Marty

According to the Natpa web site his name is Warren Townsend from Munith, Michigan and I thought he looked dashing setting on that nice looking 50.

I have heard of him also ,I agree with all your comments other than the knowing how to pull I think even a blind squirrel can find a nut.I also noticed a couple of tractors from the Mint City that made it down the track in good form. Will they make it this weekend in east Ohio?I am trying to figure out how this new A&B class was decided I see my E2 has to pull in B with the 335 MM class how can I get a flathead cont. to compete in a LIGHT PULLER class against such tractors as that?

The info I got about the A and b divisions was that one was for styled tractors and one for unstyled tractors, if you can believe that.

Can't think of anyone responsible enough to attempt to build a 335.I do,however, know of a man who is currently trying.I don't think it will take much for the little cont. to keep ahead of the MM,especially in a points race where reliability is a big issue. You still can't put a name on that big goateed man?Now that I think of it,he kind of reminds me of the old WWF wrestler,Hacksaw Jim Duggan,or possibly a cross between him and Andre the Giant. What do you think?

I do not know if I have the right gentleman. The one I know matches about half the criteria mentioned. The one I know is large, pulls Cockshutts, knows how to pull, did well at Princeton and several other NATPA pulls this winter.

Luck might have a little to do with it but with the multiple good placings it does not really seem to be too plausible.

The rest of of the things mentioned do not bear responding to. Best off not to waste time arguing with the south ends of two north bound mules.

I have been thinking about this a little .I think if I had a Cockshutt/CO OP sitting at home after seeing the results I would drag something different to the pull,What do you think Marty? This is just a humble thought with limited education.
